Will save tons of setup time. If you have some electronics guys you can retrofit cheaper electronic tasters into the HAAS control board.

Hey guys, I recently ordered a new Haas Mini mill. It has the 10 tool umbrella type ATC. I have read that many have had issues with this type and I think I understand why, but just would like someone experienced with it to confirm. I suspect that chips and coolant are easily slung onto the tools and the holder. It will take more effort to keep the tools and holder clean than other ATC types.

That makes a more full calibration of the ball at several angles, which are then stored in macros.
